Clay brick vs concrete brick

Two main categories, both widely used in Pretoria:

Clay brick pavers are made from fired clay. They have a more natural, earthy look and are the traditional choice for older Pretoria homes. • Thickness. 50mm is standard for residential driveways. 60-80mm for commercial or where heavy vehicles will park.
• Manufacturer warranty. Most SA brands offer 20-25 year warranties against breakage and excessive colour fade.
• Local rep. The bigger brands (Infraset, Corobrik, SmartStone) have local reps in Pretoria who can help with technical questions. Imported brands often have no local support.
