How PavingPretoria works
We arrange paving in Pretoria and Centurion. You submit your project, we match you with a vetted contractor for your suburb and the type of work, and we stay on as your single point of contact from the first site visit to the final walkthrough.

1. Submit your project
Use the form on this page or the WhatsApp button. We need your suburb, the type of paving work, approximate area, and a contact number.
2. We review within 1 business day
We read your project, check your suburb is in our coverage, and decide which of our vetted contractors is the best fit for the type of work and timing.
3. Free site visit and quote
The contractor calls you to schedule a visit (usually within 2-3 business days). They measure, scope the work, and give you a written quote on the spot or within 48 hours.
4. We walk you through the quote
If you want a second opinion, we look over the quote and explain what's included, what isn't, and what to look for. No pressure to proceed.
5. We manage the work
Once you accept, the contractor does the work. We check in during the job, manage any changes, and do a final walkthrough with you before you sign off.
6. Sign-off and retention
You inspect the finished work. If anything is off, we hold the contractor to fix it. We typically recommend withholding 10% retention for 30 days as your protection.
What makes our contractors different
Every contractor we work with must meet our minimum bar before we send them a single job:
- VAT-registered — protects you as a consumer. You get a proper tax invoice.
- Public liability insurance — minimum R1 million for residential work, R5 million for commercial.
- Verifiable track record — at least 20 Google reviews with 4.5+ average, OR a portfolio of completed projects we can inspect.
- Suburb coverage — they must already be operating in your area, not drive in from across the province.
- One job at a time — we don't work with contractors who take on 5 jobs simultaneously and leave you waiting.
- Honest scoping — if the work is bigger than they quoted for, they tell you before doing it. No surprise extras.
What we don't do
- We don't publish public price lists. Every paving project is different. A "R350/m²" number across the website would be misleading because it ignores sub-base, access, paver brand, area shape, and the specific contractor. Your quote is based on your actual project.
- We don't show you 3 contractors and ask you to choose. That's not service — that's shifting the work to you. We pick the right one and take responsibility.
- We don't add a markup on top of the contractor's quote. The contractor quotes you a price, that's the price you pay. Our commission comes from the contractor separately.
- We don't handle payment. You pay the contractor directly, in the schedule you both agree on. We're not a payment intermediary.
When we say no
If your project is outside our coverage area, or it's a job we don't arrange (e.g. a single-paver spot repair under 5m², which is below the minimum most contractors will quote on), we tell you honestly. We won't take your details just to bill a contractor for the lead.
