Commercial paving in Pretoria
Parking bays, estate roads, body-corporate paving, industrial yards, and commercial driveways. We arrange commercial work with VAT-registered contractors who carry the right insurance for the scale. Submit your project.
What makes commercial paving different
Commercial paving is a different beast to residential. Three things matter most:
- Thickness. Residential driveways use 50mm pavers. Commercial needs 60-80mm. Heavy vehicle traffic (delivery trucks, refuse trucks) destroys 50mm pavers in months.
- Sub-base. Commercial projects need 150-200mm of compacted G5/G6 crusher run, often with a geotextile layer. Residential is 75-100mm.
- Drainage. Commercial parking must handle stormwater properly. ACO drains, channel drains, and correct falls are non-negotiable.
Common commercial projects in Pretoria
- Estate roads (Silver Lakes, Woodhill, Mooikloof, Waterkloof)
- Body-corporate parking (apartment complexes, townhouse complexes)
- Commercial driveways (shopping centres, office parks)
- Industrial yards (warehouses, factories)
- School and church paving
- Service station forecourts
- Showroom display areas
What we'll need from you
Commercial projects need more detail than residential. When you submit, please include:
- Approximate area m² and current surface condition
- Vehicle type and traffic volume (cars only, light delivery, heavy trucks, etc.)
- Existing drainage layout, or "no idea, please advise"
- Body-corporate or HOA approval status (if applicable)
- Site contact who can show the contractor around at the visit
- Desired start date and project deadline (if any)
Body corporates and HOAs
Most Pretoria estates and complexes require committee approval before paving work. Our contractors know the local estate committees (Silver Lakes HOA, Eldoraigne Body Corporate, Woodhill Estate, etc.) and can guide you on the approval process. Some estates have approved paver brands and colours — your contractor will check this before quoting.
